[The moment he steps foot back in the City his phone is flooded with texts. There's a flicker of guilt before he reminds himself it's not his fault. He's tried to get in touch with her numerous times over the course of this but prevented every time, he doubts even his postcard managed to make it to her.

Still, he's good enough to find the closest pay phone the second he's off the plane/boat/thing (his phone battery is practically dead) and dial her number from memory.]
