Maybe just a little. [She's glad he stopped talking, since knowing them this playful teasing would end up an argument. It's nice that it hasn't, though. Very domestic.] When do you get lunch? I can swing by or we can meet somewhere? [She stabs a strawberry. It's only a coincidental gesture, not a sign of things to come. Hopefully.]

I know. [But he's not sure he can return the sentiment, untrusting as he is in his own reliability. He'll probably just screw everything up again right? That's what he does with relationships.]

Any chance of a lift to my car in a few minutes? Might be quite a walk for me otherwise. Don't much fancy piggy-backing Mitch all the way to City Hall.

[She takes a quick swig of coffee, letting go of the cup and letting it float off to the counter as she stumbles to her feet almost clumsily.]

[Oh, right, her magic. Welp he'll just carry the few plates he has over to the kitchen counter anyway.] No need, I'll see you at lunch time.

Well, then. [She leans in to kiss him on the mouth with her delightful coffee breath, teleporting him off as she parts from him. Even though he's gone, she might just be smiling to herself.]

[The kiss lives a smirk on his lips for the duration of his drive to Mitch's, and then it's down to business... at least until his lunch comes around. This is totally why he's got to remind himself being affable has it's bonuses.]
